GSM controlled robot or SMS controlled robot is a wireless robot which performs the necessary actions by receiving a set of instructions in the form a Short Message Service (SMS). We can control the robot directions like forward, backward, left and right by sending SMS from the mobile

This robot mainly consists of 2 units, one is mobile unit and the other one is robot unit. The GSM modem which is fixed at the robot receives the messages sent by the mobile and gives the instructions to the microcontroller to control the robot directions

Mobile Robotics workshop is an advanced level workshop in which you can control your robot using your mobile phone. This workshop is dedicated to designing and controlling your machine using a cellphone. It also deals with microcontroller programming and customizing for mobile controlled machines. After the workshop, a student will be able to come up with a machine which can be controlled by using a remote Cellphone.
